Through partnership with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati, FNB is participating in the Disaster Reconstruction Program. This program offers grants of up to $20,000 to help eligible households rebuild their home or to buy a home. FNB Bank, Inc. (FNB) is proud to help the Paducah Symphony Orchestra (PSO) raise funds for their new PSO Music Academy with a $15,000 investment.  As part of the investment, FNB will be naming the conference room in the Music Academy on the new PSO campus, located in the Walter C. Jetton School building.  The new Music Academy will serve the youth of Paducah, McCracken County, and the surrounding region by providing accessible, affordable private instruction.

“On behalf of the Paducah Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors and staff we are very grateful for this support from FNB Bank,” stated Bob Turok, President of the PSO Board. “The community support that non-profit organizations like ours receive is vital to our existence. FNB Bank is a valued community partner, and we can’t thank you enough for your sponsorship of the Green Room in the new Paducah Symphony Orchestra Academy.” Turok also serves as Vice President and Business Banking Officer for FNB.

The investment in the PSO’s Music Academy will allow for more local opportunities for students to get high-quality instruction outside of their school classroom.  Many students must travel out of town for additional instruction, which is typically not conducive for local families due to time and cost constraints.  The PSO Music Academy will help close a gap on the distance for quality music education and provide continuing education opportunities, as the PSO plans to offer future summer workshops to keep local students engaged.

The PSO Music Academy is one piece to the overall fundraising campaign, with an overall goal of raising $600,000 by the end of 2022.  Money raised for the campaign will not be used to operate the symphony and will be handled in a separate account designated solely for the Music Academy.  Donations are still needed to reach the goal.  Other interested investors are encouraged to call Reece King or Morgan Walker at (270) 444-0065.

During the month of December, FNB Bank made a $1,500 Christmas donation to two worthy charities on behalf of their customers and community members.  Both the Community Christmas Connection Toy Drive for Mayfield and Graves County students and the Mayfield-Graves County Needline/Food Pantry received $750 donations to assist with daily necessities and expenses.

“It is our gift to give back this Christmas by assisting worthy charities that generously serve and make a difference in the lives of our community members,” stated Brooke Wiles, FNB Marketing Director.  “We are confident that the Community Christmas Connection efforts, along with the everyday mission of the Needline/Food Pantry are vital services that positively impact Mayfield-Graves County.”

In addition to the bank’s monetary Christmas donation to the Community Christmas Connection Toy Drive, FNB employees donated toys and additional funds towards the cause. (FNB) is proud to contribute to West Kentucky Community and Technical College’s (WKCTC) HealthCare COUNTS Campaign with a $25,000 investment.  WKCTC recently announced their $3 million endowment campaign that will help fund and further develop the college’s health care education programs.  With FNB’s investment, the bank will also be naming the Allied Health Building Conference Room.

The purpose of the HealthCare COUNTS endowment campaign is to address the growing need for more nurses and health care professionals.  Currently, the college has raised about 60% of the overall campaign goal. FNB Bank is proud to announce that they have donated over $23,000 back to Mayfield, Graves County and Trigg County Schools through their Spirit Debit Card Program. These donations to the school systems are a result of FNB’s 3rd quarter 2021 Spirit Debit Card Reward Program.

The FNB Spirit Debit Card Rewards Program allows FNB and their customers the opportunity to give back to their local schools when they use their FNB debit card.  FNB currently offers Spirit Debit Cards for Mayfield, Graves County and Trigg County Schools.  The Spirit Card works like a traditional debit card and for each signature-based transaction (not using your PIN), FNB donates $0.10 to the corresponding school.  The tracking process is hassle free for the card holder, as FNB does all the tracking and submits the check to each school on a quarterly basis.  The donated funds are utilized at the school’s discretion.

(FNB) is proud to help the City of Murray take another step forward to raise the funds needed for the Central Park swimming pool renovations and other park improvements as needed with a $100,000 investment.  FNB is the most recent community centered business/foundation that has joined in to help raise money for the needed park renovations.  As part of the investment, FNB will be naming the facilities at Chestnut Park, The FNB Bank Sports Complex.  The FNB Bank Sports Complex hosts a variety of recreational opportunities, such as Basketball, Pickle Ball, Ball Diamonds, Par 3 Foot Golf Course, Walking Trail, Picnic Pavilions and more.

“The Central Park pool is important for the Murray-Calloway County community. It has provided years of family fun and was where many children learned to swim through Red Cross lessons.  The pool closing has left a void in our town for several years now.” stated Sally Hopkins, FNB President and CEO.  “We are proud to be a part of this very important community project to get the pool back up and running. The restoration of the pool will make a positive impact for years to come.”

The Central Park pool has been closed since 2019 due to a lack of funding to make the renovations needed.  It is anticipated that the estimate for the pool renovation expenses will cost $900,000 to $1 million.  Other interested investors are encouraged to call the park office at (270) 762-0325.

FNB proudly donated $5,000 to the Family Resource and Youth Service Centers of Mayfield Independent Schools and Graves County Schools as a result of the bank’s 2020-2021 philanthropic efforts in Mayfield-Graves County. Both Family Resource Centers received $2,500 donations to assist with their efforts within the school systems, specifically their internal food bank program that supplies children in need with nutritious, easy-to-prepare foods to eat on weekends when school food isn’t available.

“Giving back to our local community is something we do every day at FNB,” stated Brooke Wiles, FNB Marketing Director.  “It has been a challenging environment to fundraise during the COVID-19 pandemic, but we found creative ways to do so, and our community, customers, and employees were beyond supportive.  The children and youth of our community are the future, which is why the bank finds it important to give back to our local Family Resource Programs that serve the needs of our children on a daily basis.”

Throughout 2020 and 2021, FNB employees coordinated and participated in numerous fundraising events benefiting the Family Resource Centers. Various fundraising efforts included a Wendy’s of Mayfield Chili Lunch, a cookout at FNB’s Mayfield Main Office and concession sales during the Graves County and Mayfield Battle of the Birds football game.  Employees also participated in various jean days throughout both years to benefit the worthy causes.

The Family Resource and Youth Service Center’s (FRYSC) mission is to enhance students’ abilities to succeed in school by developing and sustaining partnerships that promote early learning and successful transition into school, academic achievement and well-being and graduation and transition into adult life. This is done by helping to break any nonacademic barriers that interfere with a child’s education. Services offered include parenting programs, emergency/crisis assistance, referrals for basic needs and more.

Alana is a graduate of the University of Louisville where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, with a concentration in Social Sciences. She is a graduate of Trigg County High School. Alana is the operating partner at River Bend Farms in Cadiz. She currently serves as Trigg County Magistrate (District 5), Rotary Club of Cadiz Vice President, Trigg County Cattlemen’s Association President and on the Trigg County Farm Bureau Board of Directors. Alana is a Class XI graduate of the Kentucky Agricultural Leadership Program, a CORE Young Farmer Program Graduate of the Kentucky Corn Growers Association and a Leadership Cadiz/Trigg County Graduate. Alana resides in Trigg County with her husband, Chris, and their three children: Aiden, Adora and Wick.
