FNB’s Jennifer Galloway Nominated for Award of Excellence

FNB Bank is proud to announce that Jennifer Galloway, HR Associate, has been nominated for a Four Rivers Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) 2023 Award of Excellence.  The nomination is for the “Rookie of the Year” award.  Nominees are nominated by their peers, recognizing their outstanding achievements.  Winners will be announced at the Four Rivers SHRM annual HR Celebration on Tuesday, September 26th.

Jennifer is a graduate of Mayfield High School. She also attended Paducah Community College and obtained a degree in Organizational Leadership from Mid-Continent University.  She has over 20 years of experience in the banking industry and has served as FNB’s Human Resources Associate since 2019.  Jennifer attends Rozzell Chapel Church in Mayfield.  She currently resides in Mayfield with her husband, Jonathon and daughter, Nellie.

Construction Begins on FNB’s New Operations Center

FNB Bank is proud to announce that groundbreaking for FNB’s new Operations Center took place on Monday, August 28th, 2023. The new Operations Center will be located on the block of land behind FNB’s Mayfield Main Office, on E North Street. The building will house FNB’s Operations and Customer Support Center staff.

“We are pleased to begin construction on our new Operations Center as it is additional progress on our road to recovery from the tornado’s destruction of our facilities,” stated Sally Hopkins, FNB President and CEO. “Our Operations team has worked efficiently and effectively in temporary offices but are ready to be back in a permanent home. This groundbreaking is the first step toward that goal.”

The newly constructed Operations Center is estimated to be completed in late 2024. The former Operations Center, located at 201 N 8th Street, was destroyed during the December 10, 2021, tornado that swept through Mayfield.

The 5th Annual Festival of Lights is Now Offering New Light Sponsorship Opportunities

FNB Bank is proud to be the title sponsor for the 5th Annual Festival of Lights at the Mayfield-Graves County Fairgrounds beginning the Saturday after Thanksgiving on November 25th at 5:30 PM.  Currently, the Mayfield-Graves County Parks Department is sending out renewal invoices for past light displays and greeting card displays.

“The light show continues to grow in popularity each year due to the outpouring of community support we’ve received over the past five years,” stated Brooke Wiles, FNB VP/Marketing Director.  “Festival of Lights is a great way for our local businesses, community organizations, churches, local families and more to show their support and Christmas spirit.  We need the community’s support to continue building on this tradition and making the light displays bigger and better each year.” 

For those interested in purchasing a new light display, please visit https://GrowWithFNB.com/festival-of-lights/ to view an interactive catalog of the available lights.  After the initial purchase of a light display, a $100 renewal fee is assessed each year after to help supplement the cost of electricity for the displays.  If you would like to order a light display or secure a greeting card spot, please contact the Mayfield Graves County Parks Department at (270) 705-5888 or by e-mail at mgcfestivaloflights@gmail.com. The deadline to purchase and pay for new light displays and renewals is Monday, October 2nd.  The deadline to reserve a greeting card spot is Wednesday, November 1st on a first come, first serve basis. 

The drive-thru Christmas light display will open to the public on Saturday, November 25th, 2023, and will run every weekend night through Monday, January 1st, 2024, from 5:30 – 8:30 PM as well as other special weekday nights.  Admission is free but monetary and canned good donations are accepted.

FNB Professional Earns National Certification

Rusty Smith, Vice President and BSA Officer for FNB Bank, was recently awarded the Certified AML and Fraud Professional (CAFP) certification from the American Bankers Association.

“Earning the CAFP certification validates Rusty’s experience and depth of education in the prevention of money laundering and fraud crimes,” stated Sally Hopkins, FNB President & CEO. 

The CAFP certification is awarded to individuals who demonstrate excellence in the field of AML and fraud prevention. It recognizes an individual’s practical experience in complying with U.S. banking laws and regulations, and their ability to detect, assess and respond to a variety of financial crimes. Rusty Smith currently serves as BSA Officer for FNB and has 27 years of banking experience. Rusty is a 1988 graduate of Lone Oak High School.  He is also a graduate of Murray State University where he obtained both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in economics. He completed ABA Compliance School in 2002 and ABA Graduate School of Compliance Management in 2003. He earned ICBA’s Certified BSA/AML Professional certification in 2019 and is a 2017 graduate of Leadership Paducah – Class 30. He previously served on the Child Watch Board of Directors and currently volunteers for the United Way of McCracken County PALS program and is involved with Airedale Terrier Rescue and Adoption programs. He is also an adjunct faculty member at West Kentucky Community and Technical College. He resides in Paducah with his wife of 22 years, Marjorie.

FNB Donates Over $22,000 Back to Local Schools Through Spirit Debit Card Program

FNB Bank is proud to announce that they have donated over $22,000 back to Mayfield, Graves County, Trigg County, and Marshall County Schools through their Spirit Debit Card Program. These donations to the school systems are a result of FNB’s 2nd quarter 2023 Spirit Debit Card Program.

“We are proud to offer our exclusive FNB Spirit Debit Card Program to our local schools,” stated Brooke Wiles, FNB Marketing Director.  “Our customers have pride in knowing that they are making a difference in the lives of our youth by simply swiping their Spirit Debit Cards at the checkout.  The donated funds allow the school systems the opportunity to do more for their students and staff, which is an invaluable asset to our community.”

Mayfield Spirit Debit Card Check

The FNB Spirit Debit Card Program allows FNB and their customers the opportunity to give back to their local schools when they use their FNB debit card.  FNB currently offers Spirit Debit Cards for Mayfield, Graves County, Trigg County, and Marshall County Schools.  The Spirit Card works like a traditional debit card and for each signature-based transaction (not using your PIN), FNB donates $0.10 to the corresponding school.  The tracking process is hassle free for the card holder, as FNB does all the tracking and submits the check to each school on a quarterly basis.  The donated funds are utilized at the school’s discretion.

Ray Wagner Joins FNB Bank as Chief Credit Officer

FNB Bank is proud to announce that Ray Wagner has joined FNB as Chief Credit Officer. Ray brings with him more than 20 years of banking experience having served in various roles including SVP Consumer Credit Analytics, SVP Enterprise Risk Manager and VP Chief Risk Officer.

Ray has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.  He recently moved to Western Kentucky with his wife and three children. Ray and his family are excited about exploring Western Kentucky and getting involved in the community.

FNB Announces Third Annual Glowing Graves Halloween Parade

FNB Bank is excited to announce the third annual Glowing Graves Halloween Parade will take place in Mayfield on Saturday, October 21st at 6:30 PM. The parade is sponsored by FNB Bank and the Mayfield Rotary Club.

“We have been blown away the first two years by the number of parade entries and attendees at the Glowing Graves Halloween Parade,” stated Brooke Wiles, FNB Marketing Director. “Mayfield-Graves County Tourism has done an outstanding job coordinating the Haunted Graves initiative for the month of October. We are proud to be a part of a new tradition that continues to grow, while uniting our community.”

Registration to participate in the Glowing Graves Halloween Parade is now underway. Businesses, non-profits, civic groups, student groups, church groups, local farms and more are encouraged to participate and throw out candy, glow sticks, and other family-friendly giveaways to community members. The Glowing Graves Halloween Parade is part of a larger initiative that was introduced in Graves County in 2021 called Haunted Graves. FNB’s Recent Officer Promotions

FNB Bank is pleased to announce the recent promotion of officers at the Annual Meeting of the Board. During the meeting, the Board of Directors promoted Nick Johnson and Andrew McGlenon to Assistant Vice President.

Nick Johnson promoted to Assistant Vice President for FNBNick Johnson currently serves as Information Security Manager for FNB. He has 17 years of Information Technology experience, serving the past 10 years in the banking field with FNB. Nick is a 2002 graduate of Massac County High School, a 2009 graduate of Murray State University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications Systems Management, and a 2019 graduate of Western Governors University where he obtained a Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance. He is a Certified Information Security Manager, Certified Information Systems Security Professional, and Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer. Nick volunteers at local community events and school functions to discuss cybersecurity, privacy, and scam and fraud prevention. He currently resides in Metropolis.

Andrew McGlenon promoted to Assistant Vice President for FNBAndrew McGlenon has more than 18 years of banking experience and currently serves as a Business Banking Officer for FNB. He is a graduate of Capella University with a Master of Business Administration with a specialization in Finance. Andrew currently serves as Chairman for the Salvation Army of Paducah Advisory Board as well as the Paducah-McCracken County Convention Center Treasurer and Columbia Art House Treasurer. Andrew resides in Paducah with his wife, Sherry, and their children, Hunter and Kaitlynn.
