Best Companies Group, in collaboration with COLOR Magazine, is proud to announce the recognition of businesses that have demonstrated exemplary commitment to fostering inclusivity and a sense of belonging in their work environments through the Inclusive Workplace Program. This acknowledgment is not a ranking or competition, but rather a celebration of organizations that surpass our data-driven benchmarks to promote inclusivity.  FNB Bank (FNB) was named as an Inclusive Workplace honoree in December 2023. 

The program, initiated last fall, assesses participating companies through comprehensive surveys and data analysis. Areas of evaluation include inclusion, belonging, psychological safety, community, and purpose. “This program highlights the real strides companies are making in cultivating inclusive cultures that help all employees feel valued and engaged,” said Jaime Raul Zepeda, Executive Vice President of Best Companies Group.

During the month of December, FNB Bank made a $1,000 Christmas donation to the Salvation Army of Paducah on behalf of their customers and community members to benefit the Angel Tree Program. 

“This Christmas season, we are giving back to those who generously serve and make a difference in our community,” stated Ike Nichols, FNB’s McCracken County Market President.  “We believe in the mission of the Salvation Army and are confident that this donation will make a positive impact for those in need this Christmas.”

The Salvation Army recognizes that holidays can bring added financial and emotional stress for families in need. They offer a variety of services to help families and individuals make it through more difficult holiday seasons, including the Angel Tree Program. The Salvation Army Angel Tree program helps provide Christmas gifts for hundreds of thousands of children around the country each year. Once a child or senior adult has been registered and accepted as an Angel their Christmas wish list is shared with donors in the community who purchase gifts of new clothing and toys. In addition to the bank’s monetary donation to Murray and Calloway County Schools, Christmas tree tags from both schools were available at FNB’s Murray North and Murray South Offices. The tags help to support local families in Murray-Calloway County that need assistance during the holiday season.

Beta Nu is the Trigg County chapter of the international philanthropic sorority Epsilon Sigma Alpha.  This local group of dedicated women organize fundraisers throughout the year to raise money for programs and organizations within the community.  They are sponsors of the annual Christmas Angel Tree and the Math-a-thon at Trigg County Elementary School, which raises funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  For more information about Beta Nu or to donate, please contact Nancy Moore or Mindy Hargrove.

FNB Bank is proud to announce that they have donated over $22,000 back to Mayfield, Graves County, Trigg County, and Marshall County Schools through their Spirit Debit Card Program. These donations to the school systems are a result of FNB’s 3^rd quarter 2023 Spirit Debit Card Program.

“We are proud to offer our exclusive FNB Spirit Debit Card Program to our local schools,” stated Brooke Wiles, FNB Marketing Director.  “Our customers have pride in knowing that they are making a difference in the lives of our youth by simply swiping their Spirit Debit Cards at the checkout.  The donated funds allow the school systems the opportunity to do more for their students and staff, which is an invaluable asset to our community.”

The FNB Spirit Debit Card Program allows FNB and their customers the opportunity to give back to their local schools when they use their FNB debit card.  FNB currently offers Spirit Debit Cards for Mayfield, Graves County, Trigg County, and Marshall County Schools.  The Spirit Card works like a traditional debit card and for each signature-based transaction (not using your PIN), FNB donates $0.10 to the corresponding school.  The tracking process is hassle free for the card holder, as FNB does all the tracking and submits the check to each school on a quarterly basis.  The donated funds are utilized at the school’s discretion.

A check presentation was held on Friday, November 3^rd to present DREAM Together incentive funds to BHW Properties, LLC in the amount of $50,000. BHW Properties, LLC took advantage of the DREAM Together partnership program offered by FNB Bank and First Kentucky Bank.  The DREAM acronym stands for Downtown Revitalization & Economic Advancement for Mayfield.  Together, both Mayfield-based banks have partnered to provide incentives and low interest loans for businesses that want to rebuild and invest again in downtown Mayfield.  The collective goal of FKB and FNB is to stimulate economic development and put jobs back in one of the hardest hit areas in the community.

BHW Properties, LLC is investing in the Mayfield community with plans to build a 10,500 square foot Family Dollar/Dollar Tree combination store. The store will be located on East Broadway Street near the former location of Family Dollar that was destroyed in the December 10^th, 2021, tornado.

The Riley Architect Services office was formerly located in the Hall Hotel in downtown Mayfield. The building sustained severe damage from the December 10, 2021, tornado that swept through Mayfield and destroyed their office.  The firm has now relocated a few blocks from their former location to 500 South 6^th Street in Mayfield. “Riley Architect Services is incredibly thankful to FNB Bank and First Kentucky Bank for their leadership in the revitalization effort and providing incentive money to encourage businesses to relocate in Mayfield, Kentucky,” stated Elizabeth Miller Riley of Riley Architect Services, PLLC.
