FNB Completes Rebuilding Phase with New Operations Center

FNB Bank (FNB) is proud to announce that its post-tornado rebuilding phase is complete, as support staff employees moved into their brand-new office space in the bank’s new Operations Center on December 9.  The Operations Center is located on the block of land behind FNB’s Mayfield Main Office, at 105 E North Street in Mayfield. The building houses FNB’s Operations, Customer Support Center staff, Audit, Compliance, and IT functions.

The former Operations Center, located at 201 N 8th Street, was destroyed during the December 10, 2021, tornado that swept through Mayfield. Construction on the new Center began in August 2023.

“The opening of our new Operations Center is one of the final pieces in our recovery from the tornado’s destruction of our facilities,” stated Sally Hopkins, FNB President & CEO. “Our operation teams have worked efficiently and effectively in temporary offices for the last three years, but we are elated to have them back in downtown Mayfield, next to our Main Office.”

The deadliest tornado on record for December swept through Mayfield, Kentucky on December 10, 2021, killing 24 people and destroying homes and businesses.  Among those severely damaged structures was the historic Hall Hotel in Mayfield, next door to FNB’s Mayfield Main Office. Built in 1930, the three-story Hall Hotel was originally constructed to accommodate traveling salesmen and businessmen who came to do business in Mayfield. Later, an additional two floors were added to allow for more occupants as the hotel grew in popularity. Since then, the building has remained mostly the same with minor renovations made over the decades to keep it up to code. Local businesses, like Rita’s Cafe, remained active in the space until the tornado caused severe damage in late 2021.

FNB Donates Over $21,000 Back to Local Schools Through Spirit Debit Card Program

FNB Bank is proud to announce that they have donated over $21,000 back to Mayfield, Graves County, Trigg County, and Marshall County Schools through their Spirit Debit Card Program. These donations to the school systems are a result of FNB’s 3rd quarter 2024 Spirit Debit Card Program.

“We are proud to offer our exclusive FNB Spirit Debit Card Program to our local schools,” stated Brooke Wiles, FNB Marketing Director.  “Our customers have pride in knowing that they are making a difference in the lives of our youth by simply swiping their Spirit Debit Cards at the checkout.  The donated funds allow the school systems the opportunity to do more for their students and staff, which is an invaluable asset to our community.”

The FNB Spirit Debit Card Program allows FNB and their customers the opportunity to give back to their local schools when they use their FNB debit card.  FNB currently offers Spirit Debit Cards for Mayfield, Graves County, Trigg County, and Marshall County Schools.  The Spirit Card works like a traditional debit card and for each signature-based transaction (not using your PIN), FNB donates $0.10 to the corresponding school.  The tracking process is hassle free for the card holder, as FNB does all the tracking and submits the check to each school on a quarterly basis.  The donated funds are utilized at the school’s discretion.

In 2023, FNB donated over $87,000 to their participating schools through the Spirit Debit Card Program.  To learn more about the Spirit Debit Card Program, stop by your nearest FNB Office or visit www.GrowWithFNB.com.

Western Kentucky — Four local community banks, Community Financial Services Bank (CFSB), First Kentucky Bank, FNB Bank and The Murray Bank, are joining forces to launch an initiative to educate and protect their customers from fraud. Through a joint social media campaign titled Community Banks Fighting Fraud, the banks aim to raise awareness about common fraud strategies and provide essential tips for safeguarding financial information.

The campaign will kick off on Friday, November 29, 2024, with a holiday-themed series designed to equip customers with the knowledge to detect and prevent fraud during the busiest shopping season. This initial five-week series will post every Friday on the social media channels of each participating bank. By working together, these banks hope to deliver a unified message: fraud prevention is a shared responsibility, and simple precautions can make a world of difference.

The Community Banks Fighting Fraud campaign will cover a range of important topics, including holiday-specific scams, phishing, digital banking safety, and tips for small businesses. The series will continue into 2025 with additional educational resources, empowering customers to stay vigilant and informed year-round.

By pooling resources and expertise, CFSB, FNB, First Kentucky, and Murray Bank are demonstrating the strength of community banks working together for the good of their customers. This collaboration underscores a shared commitment to keeping customers’ financial security at the forefront, especially during the holiday season when fraud attempts typically increase.
