FNB Professional Earns National Certification

August 28, 2023

Rusty Smith, Vice President and BSA Officer for FNB Bank, was recently awarded the Certified AML and Fraud Professional (CAFP) certification from the American Bankers Association.

“Earning the CAFP certification validates Rusty’s experience and depth of education in the prevention of money laundering and fraud crimes,” stated Sally Hopkins, FNB President & CEO.

The CAFP certification is awarded to individuals who demonstrate excellence in the field of AML and fraud prevention. It recognizes an individual’s practical experience in complying with U.S. banking laws and regulations, and their ability to detect, assess and respond to a variety of financial crimes. ABA Professional Certifications formally recognize those who meet meaningful standards of knowledge in specialty financial services areas and meet continuing education and development requirements.  For more information, visit www.aba.com/certifications.

Rusty Smith currently serves as BSA Officer for FNB and has 27 years of banking experience.
